Zahra Ayubi, PhD , President - Society for the Study of Muslim Ethics, Associate Professor at Dartmouth College and author of Gendered Morality.   In this talk, I present ethnographic narratives of American Muslim women that deal with medical racism as well as patriarchal Islamic jurisprudential opinions (fatwas) on matters of reproductive health. I argue that ethical medical care of Muslim women requires centering their experiences and developing both religion and gender conscientious approaches.
