Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic presented the dual problems of high public concern around potential symptoms and already strained health care human resources to respond to these concerns. We describe the process of rapidly building an algorithmic, automated symptom checker to triage these symptom concerns and reduce provider burden. How do we best measure and assess the symptom checker’s performance, and how can we design and implement similar automated tools elsewhere in the healthcare system? Register here!
