Please join us in congratulating Dr. Raina Merchant on her promotion to Professor of Emergency Medicine, effective July 1. In addition to being a highly regarded emergency medicine physician, Dr. Merchant, who was elected to the National Academy of Medicine this past year, is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading scholars of the intersection between digital and social media and health.
This promotion is well-deserved recognition of Dr. Merchant’s contributions and stature in her various fields. We are thrilled that she recently joined our department as a secondary faculty member and proud of her accomplishments in this critically important area of research.
