Molly Sinderbrand (she/her/hers) is the Staff Associate Director of the Master in Bioethics program. Prior to joining MBE, she worked for the Nonprofit Leadership Program, following her postdoc at the Center for High Impact Philanthropy, both at the School of Social Policy and Practice. Since coming to Penn in 2010, Molly’s research and teaching have revolved around ethics, social norms theory, and norm change. She is most interested in the tension between individual ethics and systems-level behavior and norms. She also worked as a consultant for the Penn Social Norms Group, facilitating workshops on social norms and social change.
Molly earned her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania, her Master's in Applied Ethics through a joint program between Utrecht University and Linkoping University, and her BA in Philosophy from Washington University in St Louis.
