Kristen holds a BA in women’s and gender studies from The College of New Jersey (2008) and a master’s in public health from the University of Cape Town (UCT) (2013). Kristen comes from a background of direct service in the NGO sector and also worked in research at UCT over the last 8 years with the Centre for Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Research, the Women’s Health Research Unit, and the Gender Health and Justice Research Unit. Her most recent research projects focused on health care access for sexual and gender minority folks, those who do sex work, and those needing abortions. In her spare time, she has also trained to be a full spectrum doula. Kristen recently relocated back to South Jersey from Cape Town with her partner, Thomas, and is thrilled to apply her research and management experience in her role as a program manager with the PEACH Lab.
