American Academy of Nursing Announces New Fellows

Seventeen nursing professionals with ties to Penn Nursing will be inducted as 2017 Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN). Three are current Penn employees and alumnae; two being current faculty members; and one being a program director from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The additional 14 are Penn Nursing alumni.

All of the inductees will be honored at a ceremony during the AAN’s annual policy conference, Transforming Health, Driving Policy, taking place October 5-7, 2017 in Washington, DC. This year’s fellows are:

• Mary K Walton, MBE, MSN, BSN - Director of Patient & Family Centered Care, HUP
• Catherine C. McDonald, PhD, RN - Assistant Professor of Nursing
• Linda Hatfield, PhD, NNP-BC - Assistant Professor of Evidence-Based Practice
